my trips run from may - september, which caters for wildflower season, peak season, and snowy season. in each month, you see a different side of kyrgyzstan! this means you can come in your summer holidays, your university holidays, or whenever you can get time off!

you hike to kel-suu, a lake wedged between cliffs with no road in. you trek the ala-kul pass at 3,956m. it's the hardest day and the one people talk about afterwards. you spend days on horseback through high pastures, sleeping in yurts at song-kul lake. you meet a falconer from issyk-kul whose family has hunted with eagles for generations.

temirlan and baya are your guides on the ground. both kyrgyz, both guiding these mountains for ten years. i (jack) have built the trips and walked every route before i published it. i’m on some departures and not others, and i’ll tell you which before you book.
