Welcome to
The Adventure Trail.
My signature Kyrgyzstan trip, with more altitude.
Twelve full days on horseback, foot and jeep. I've built this trip over many years, through a lot of love, smiles, and more Kyrgyz tea than I can count.
You're getting the full itinerary before anyone else. This page has everything you need: the day-by-day, the highlights, who this is for, and who Jack is.
Next stop: getting your bum to Kyrgyzstan!
Hi! I’m Jack!
I’ve done some seriously crazy adventures in the last eight years: I’ve tuk-tuked across India, surfed through Africa, hitchhiked through Patagonia, and did a semester of my law degree on the back of a bus in South America.
I’ve also lost two passports (and that’s me on the tuk-tuk below).
Ashamed to say it, I’m a lawyer. Once I finished backpacking in 2023, I did what I was told to do: finished my degree, got a job in the city, and watched my annual leave disappear. Every single year.
My mission with Wildflower is simple: share what I've been lucky enough to see, and build the same kind of tribe I found on the road. More than anything, I want you to realise there's more to life than living out your years at a desk.
I’ve been to Kyrgyzstan 3 times, and I’ve fallen in love with it. After all the horse rides, the hikes and the tea with nomads, I’ve built trips that show you the side of Kyrgyzstan I love (and you will love too).
Who this is for…
Besides the funny toilets and being a group trip, The Adventure Trail is for those who want a challenge. On this trip we tackle the Ala Kul Trek, which takes us to 3,956m. I’ll tell you now, it’s a tough hike.
Coming on this trip, I need you to have a good level of fitness, have some experience hiking (preferably at altitude), and to be exercising frequently. If you tick all these boxes, then this is the trip for you.
If you would think you’d rather explore deeper into the Kyrgyz culture and don’t need to go to that height (understandably), I also run The Immersive Trail. It’s my signature Kyrgyzstan trip, without the altitude. Check it out here.

You could do this on your own…
Kyrgyzstan isn’t closed to independent travel, and I’d never tell you it was. But…
You don’t speak Russian or Kyrgyz. If you’re like me, you’ve got two weeks, and then your boss is wondering why you’re not back at your desk yet. I mean, if you really wanted you could do your research on Instagram and find the places you want to go.
This is Temirlan! (and me being cheeky)
I’ll open doors that you wouldn’t know were there. I work with two amazing guides, Temirlan and Bayastan, who have been running these trails for 10 years. We can show you where to get the best trout in Kyrgyzstan; we’ll take you to stay with the family on the far side of Song-Kul, and the best bar in Karakol.
That’s what I can give you with wildflower.
